Meet Studio Owner, Dana Greenbaum 

Dana Greenbaum is a Certified Third Generation Traditional Pilates Instructor, TRX Trainer, Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, and Mentor. Dana began practicing Pilates in 2006 as a way to relieve shoulder, neck, back pain and stress.

Finding 'The Work' to be physically and mentally transformative,  Dana resolved to make Pilates a full-time lifestyle choice. She began an intensive apprenticeship under the tutelage of Romana protégée & Master Trainer, Penelope Wyer-Barrow and in May of 2011, Dana successfully completed the rigorous 700 Hour Comprehensive Teacher Training Program with over 1000 hours of physical training, observation, teaching, and testing. 

A native of Atlanta, Dana spent twelve years living in the Pacific North West and has taught in some of Portland, Oregon’s top Pilates Studios. Dana opened her own successful, small community Pilates Studio in 2019 before relocating to Tennessee.

In October 2024, Dana completed Mejo Wiggin’s renown Classical Syllabus Graduate Course for Comprehensively Trained Teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of the Classical Pilates Method.

In January 2026, Dana successfully graduated from Master Teacher of Teachers, Kathi Ross Nash’s Professional Pilates Advanced Teacher Training Program. This exclusive and demanding year-long program takes an even deeper dive into the Pilates System through Kathi’s trademarked Red Thread Method. Dana continues to train and pursue educational opportunities in order to sharpen her teaching skills and ability to effectively apply the Pilates System.

Dana has taught a vast & varied array of Pilates practitioners -  snow ski racers, ultra-runners, NBA Players, pre and post-natal Moms, teens, seniors, and some incredibly inspiring persons with movement disorders.  With a desire to share her knowledge and help others feel their best, Dana brings a caring and compassionate energy to her work. 

Meet Studio Administrator, Sandy Wheeler

Sandy is Central Star Pilates Studio Administrator Extraordinaire and Certified Peak Pilates Mat Teacher. Her first introduction to Pilates began in 2009 as rehabilitation after going through Cancer treatment. “I love Pilates, and was able to get into the best shape of my life for the next 10 years.  Unfortunately, family, school and work got in the way until I retired.  Getting back into Pilates was a promise I made to myself”. ~Sandy W.

After retiring from a 35-year career in IT Project Management in both State Government and Private Sector Companies, Sandy became a student at Central Star Pilates in January of 2024. Sandy’s enthusiasm for Pilates prompted her to enroll in Peak Pilates Mat Certification Program and In January of 2026, Sandy became a Certified Peak Pilates Mat Teacher.
